Up for auction is a fantastic lot of 8 Windsor Chairs to include 2 of the taller Comb-back chairs as seen in the first picture, which I used as captain's chairs, and 6 windsor arm chairs as seen in the second picture. � I purchased these chairs in 1998 from Martin's Chair Company in Pennsylvania which hand-crafts reproductions of 18th Century furniture. � According to their website they are the country's leading designer and manufacturer of heirloom quality windsor chairs and reproduction 18th century American period furniture and even have some of their furniture in the White House. � These chairs are made from a combination of cherry/maple/poplar woods and feature dove-tailing and mortise and tenon joints as seen in the 9th and 10th pictures - you won't find a single screw or nail in these chairs. � These chairs have normal wear/tear/dents/dings/scratches for fifteen year old chairs with 3 exceptions, none of which is noticeable unless you look for it or affects the usability of the chair but I mention in the spirit of full disclosure: � two of the windsor chairs have a little split in the middle of the wood seam that runs around the back as seen in the 6th picture; � one of the chairs has a little split on one of the spindles as seen in the 7th picture; � and two of the chairs have some scratches on the seats as seen in the 8th read more
